JAMMU, May 5: Expressing concern over the Coronavirus pandemic, J&K BJP vice president Yudhvir Sethi said in these testing times, people need to cooperate with administration and should stay at home.
He appealed the people not to come out of their homes to contain the spread of virus, as without cooperation of citizens it would be hard to achieve desired results besides making Jammu free from COVID-19.
Sethi was speaking while honouring Baldev Billawaria, Chairman, Health & Sanitation Committee of JMC, Dr Shamim Mir, Health Officer JMC, Dr Zaffar Iqbal, Nodal Officer and Raj Kumar, Member, Health & Sanitation Committee for their service to humanity. BJP East Mandal president Parmeen Kerni was also accompanying him.
The J&K BJP vice-president asserted that human race will always feel indebted to them as Corona Warriors. He said that the mainstay of the whole war against the Corona epidemic is to strictly follow the norms of social distancing and use all the necessary precautions like frequent hand washing etc. He said that world will never forget the contribution of all those Corona warriors, who have preformed their duties while not giving an onus of thought about their own well being.
Sethi also appealed to party men to remain in touch with local administration and render all possible help in this hour of crisis. He also asked them to monitor shortfalls on various counts especially faced by poor and under-privileged sections and apprise the administration and party on regular basis.
Rajinder Sikka (UT OBC Morcha treasurer), Adarsh Jathiar (UT media secretary SC Morcha), Anil Balgotra (Jammu district president OBC Morcha), Asif Gill (Jammu district president Minority Morcha), Rajesh Nischal and Vinod Gupta (Mandal vice presidents), Vipan Sharma (Mandal general secretary) and Vineet Gupta (Mandal additional treasurer) were also present.
