DDC reviews progress of District Annual Plan

SAMBA, Apr 6: A meeting to review the progress of schemes under District Plan for the year 2012-13 and also to prepare Action Plan under District Plan and Border Area Development Programme (BADP) for the year 2013-14 was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Samba – Mubarak Singh in the conference hall of District Administrative Complex here.
It was informed that as against the available amount of Rs. 20.71 crore under Capital Component and Rs. 18.30 crore under Revenue Component, the funds amounting to Rs. 20.71 crore and Rs. 18.24 crore has been expended respectively, which make the expenditure to the tune of 99.85%.
The District Development Commissioner while speaking on the occasion directed the District/Sectoral officers to formulate the plan for the current financial year and submit the same within week’s time positively so that the same could be consolidated and forwarded to Planning and Development Department.
Similarly, an amount of Rs. 4.66 crore was made available during the year 2012-13 under BADP-Normal, out of which an amount of Rs.4.64 crore has been expended for the schemes under various sectors.
The District Development Commissioner impressed upon the officers to prepare the plan strictly in accordance with the guidelines of the Govt. and lay special focus for the remote areas and disadvantaged sections of society like SC, ST and the people living closer to the International Border.
He stressed that maximum benefit of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes, especially the flagship programmes like MG-NREGA, SSA, NRHM and RMSA etc. The efforts should also be made to avail benefit of programme of MG-NREGA by dovetailing the resources available with each sector.
Among others, ADC- Bikram Singh Jamwal, Superintending Engineer PDD, Ashwani Kumar Gupta, Chief Planning Officer, Sant Ram, Assistant Commissioner Development, Joginder Singh, Executive Engineers of PWD(R&B), Flood Control and EM&RE, besides the District Officers of various departments were also present the meeting.
