BJP celebrates 33rd Foundation Day by hoisting party flags at all booths

JAMMU, Apr 6: BJP celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day today. In this connection functions were held across the State by the party.
According to a BJP handout the flag hoisting ceremony was held over 2000 places at booth and Mandal levels across the State.
BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma hoisted the party flag at booth number 128 of Ward No 16 in presence of senior party leaders Chander Mohan Sharma, vice president, Ramesh Arora, Mandal president Pradhuman Singh and Ward president Onkar Singh.
While congratulating the party activists on the occasion, he spoke about the circumstances that led to formation of BJP. He said the BJP achieved the distinction of being the only political party at national level to become main Opposition party in such a short span of time after it came into being April 6, 1980.
National Executive member, Dr Nirmal Singh along with State treasurer, Chander Mohan Gupta and others hoisted the party flag in Ward No 33 Shiv Nagar. Dr Singh asked the party activists to take a solemn pledge on this day to reach the masses with the ideology and principles of the party to mobilize their opinion in its favour.
BJP Legislative party leader, Ashok Khajuria who after hoisting the party flag attended a Sant Samelan in the city. He said the BJP is party with difference and it will not allow the implementation of anti national policies of Coalition Government in the State.
Former State president Shamsher Singh Manhas who hoisted the party flag at Nagbani along with Kissan Morcha president Karan Singh said BJP is committed to continue its fight for the welfare of the people.
National Executive member and chief spokesman of BJP Dr Jitendra Singh along with State publicity secretary, Aseem Gupta hoisted the party flag at Ward No 53 Trikuta Nagar. In his address Dr Jitendra Singh said BJP was founded after question marks were raised against dual membership of its senior leaders who were at that time Ministers in Janata Party Government and senior leaders including Atal Behari Vajpayee, L K Advani decided to quit their ministerial berths and the Janata party insisted of giving up their membership of the National Sangathan or RSS.
State vice president, Usha Choudhary hoisted flag in Ward No 25 and Sakina Bano hoisted the same in Ward No 9. State general secretary, Ashok Koul alongwith Tarseem Choudhary hoisted party flag at Dhoodhadhari Chowk in Gandhi Nagar. He said soon after its formation BJP worked with a missionary zeal to make India Jagat Guru.
Another general secretary Kavinder Gupta along with Subash Sharma led a Prabhat Pheri of party activists this morning.
Party general secretary, Bali Bhagat and Rajiv Jasrotia also hoisted flags at different booths in their respective areas.
State secretary Haleema Begum along with North Kashmir president and other leaders hoisted party flag in different wards of Baramulla district. BJP State secretary Munish Sharma hoisted the Flag at Reshamgarh Colony, senior leader Sat Sharma (CA) along with publicity secretary Arun Chibber hoisted the party flag inward No 24 of Rehari Colony.
Jammu Mahanagar district president Rajesh Gupta hoisted the party flag along with Subash Gupta in different parts of Ward No 5, Yudhvir Sethi and Mahila Morcha State president, Priya Sethi hoisted the flag at in different areas of Ward No 10, Bansi Lal Bharti hoisted the flag at Ward No 6 and 7. Similarly all Mandal presidents of Jammu district including Sat Pal Choudhary, Kuldeep Kandhari, Ayodhya Gupta, Pradhuman Singh, and Tarseem Chodhary hoisted party flags at different booth levels of their respective mandals.
Party vice president Vivodh Gupta hoisted the flag at Rajouri. Besides party fags were hoisted at Reasi, Arnas, Katra and Pouni by district Reasi president Ajay Nanda. At Kishtwar the flag was hoisted the by Sunil Sharma while at Dachan it was hoisted by Ravi Kumar Thakur. The party flags were also hoisted at Udhampur, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Akhnoor, R S Pura, Samba, Kathua, Hiranagar, Basholi, Billawar Srinagar, Anatnag and many other parts of the State.
