JAMMU, Apr 6: The Legislative Council passed two Bills here today.
Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (L.A. Bill No. 14 of 2013) as passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
The Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Hindu Marriage Act, 1980 (IV of 1980) and the Jammu and Kashmir Christian Marriage and Divorce Act, 1957 (III of 1957) (L.A Bill No. 13 of 2013) as passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
The House passed both the Bills unanimously.
