JAMMU, Apr 6: Minister for Transport Ch. Mohammad Ramzan while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Dr.Shehnaz Ganai regarding reservation of seats in the public transport for women and physically challenged, today informed the House that circular instructions have already been issued in this regard, denoting seats from 1 to 12 in big buses and 1 to 9 in medium and mini-buses kept for reserved for these categories.
The Minister said that all enforcement agencies have been directed for implementation of these instructions effectively in letter and spirit. Moreover, all transport Unions/Associations have also been informed for strict implementation of these instructions.
The Minister also assured the member that her suggestions would be considered.
