SRINAGAR, Apr 6: Three children including two siblings were injured when an explosive they were fiddling with went off in the frontier district of Kupwara early today.
Police said that the children were injured when an explosive went off as the children were fiddling with it at Kumar Mohalla, Nagri Malpora in district Kupwara at around 8:45 a.m.
“Whether it was a grenade blast or any other explosive is being ascertained. We have sought an expert opinion on the matter”, a police officer said. He identified the injured as Seema, 15, her brother Azad Kumar, 9, children of Ghulam Nabi Kumar, and Faizan, 7, son of Abdul Rashid Kumar of Sogam, Lolab in district Kupwara.
