SRINAGAR, May 10: In view of the upcoming festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKCC) today sought availability of essential items and other requisite facilities to the people.
The Party also urged the J&K Government to provide free ration to poor and needy people, besides financial assistance to labour class of Jammu and Kashmir.
JKPCC Vice President and former MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar and former MLC Mohd Muzaffar Parray have urged the J&K Government to ensure every basic facility, especially, the availability of essentials to the people, keeping in view the upcoming auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Both the leaders sought free ration to BPL and other categories of poor and needy and those living in far flung areas in J&K.
The leaders have also drawn the attention of the Government towards the hardships confronting labour class of J&K, who were fully dependent on their daily earnings, but could not earn even a single penny due to the lockdown and \were at the verge of starvation.
The leaders have also asked the Govt to release the salaries of Govt employees, who salaries were yet to be released due to some technical difficulty.
The leaders laid emphasizes over ensuring timely help to people especially poor and needy in order to ensure that no one faces starvation.
