JAMMU, May 11: BJP leader and J&K UT secretary, Rekha Mahajan handed over more than one thousand handmade face covers to BJP J&K general secretary, Vibodh Gupta for distribution among people in the border district of Rajouri.
Speaking on the occasion, Vibodh Gupta appreciated the efforts of Rekha Mahajan for preparing over 20,000 homemade face covers and said that everyone in BJP is engaged with the massive relief exercise running throughout the UT in the wake of Coronavirus threat. He strongly asserted that BJP J&K is striving hard to earn the unique distinction of 100 percent distribution of face covers.
Gupta said that responding to the call of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi BJP Jammu and Kashmir is enthusiastically providing the much-required assistance to the people in the UT. “We are working on the model of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam treating every fellow person as our family member”, he added. He said,” idea of world is one family is spiritually and positively backing India’s fight against COVID-19″.
Handing over face covers Rekha Mahajan said that our vow is to facilitate even the last person in the line with face covers to check the spread of COVID-19. She said “we are also preparing face covers for remote areas of border districts such as Rajouri-Poonch’’.
Rekha further said that BJP members are also identifying people especially old people who are stranded or in want of help. She said that in this humanitarian crisis it is our prime duty to look after people in our vicinity and extend every possible assistance to them. She said India is known for its service to mankind and during such times India has always become an example for the rest of the world leading the world order to arise from hard times.
