JAMMU, May 11: The revelations made by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and other agencies, related to the recovery rate of Corona cases, indicated that India is much ahead of other developed countries of the world in fight against the COVID-19. It is really positive signal but not the end of the fight against dreaded virus, which has already consumed thousands of precious lives during the last three months.
Quoting the data from the Union Ministry, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that a glance on the figures, gives satisfaction that India is recovering at a higher rate as compared to the other countries.
Balbir Ram, while sharing the details of the data, said that taking a uniform figure of 60,000 plus cases, the recovery rate in USA is just 1.39 per cent, while it is 9.53 per cent in Spain and 10.52 per cent in China. Similarly, Italy has 11.62 per cent, France 21.77 per cent, whereas India tops at 30.75 per cent.
Balbir said that despite achieving these figures of higher recovery, which are good as compared to other developed countries, we have yet to break the chain of Corona pandemic and the answer lies in following the norms of social distancing, self discipline and wearing face masks, in addition to strict adherence to advisories issued by the Government.
It will be unfair if the people do not express gratitude to Union Government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, which understood the dangerous consequences of Coronavirus and took several decisions at the very onset, as a result of which the country with a population of about 137 crore, much more than the other developed nations with highly advanced healthcare infrastructure, has succeeded to a great extent in controlling the fast spread and registering higher recoveries, the spokesperson said.
