JAMMU, May 11: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina, president of the Committee.
The meeting expressed concern that for the last two months no ration was distributed among the migrant Government employees and pensioners on cash payment. The meeting sought immediate intervention of the Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in the matter.
Later the Committee representatives distributed ration among the deserving families in the area. The meeting appealed Chairman JK Bank to keep Vinod Mahaldar in J&K Bank Durga Nagar besides it appealed the Executive Engineer, Mechanical and Executive Engineer, City Division PHE for supplying water through tankers in Durga Nagar where people are facing acute shortage of water supply.
