JAMMU, Apr 7: Union Minister of Renewable Energy and president of NC, Dr Farooq Abdullah released a book of Prof ( Dr.) Suneethi Bakshi at a function held at Hotel Asia here today. The function was organized by J&K Forum for Peace and Reconciliation.
The welcome address was presented by Jatender Bakshi, President of the Forum while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof Sucheta Pathania. Dr. Monica Sethi presented a brief account of the Book and the author. The function was conducted by J.S Chauhan. Prominent among present on the occasion were Dr Mustafa Kamaal, Vijay Bakaya, MLC, H.S Anand Managing Director, Hotel Asia, prominent citizens, Forum members and academicians.
Later talking to some prominent members of KP community Dr Abdullah assured them that Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Religious Places Bill will be passed in the Autumn Session of the State Assembly at Srinagar.
He said the issue also figured in the Working Committee of NC and it was resolved that the Bill will be passed in the next Session at Srinagar.
The KP community members who turned the attention of Dr Abdullah towards the Bill included, Vijay Bakaya, Maj Gen. (retd) B N Dhar, B L Saraf retired session judge, K K Raina and Pran Nath Pandita.
