POONCH, May 14: The police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler along with some quantity of charas from Gursai area of Mendhar Sub Division.
Official sources said that SHO, Gursai, Sanjay Gupta during naka at Jarran Wali Galli, under supervision of SDPO Mendher, Neeraj Padyar today intercepted three youth coming from the other side.
The youth were asked to stop by the cops but they tried to run away. Police party chased and caught one person namely, Mohd Irfan, son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Fazlabad in Surankot and other two others- Shahzeb, son of Mohd Rashid and Waseem, son of Mohd Iqbal from the same village managed to escape.
During personal search of Mohd Irfan 100 gram charas was recovered from his possession. In this context, a case FIR No.42 /2020 u/s 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station, Gursai. The police was searching for other two youth.
