JAMMU, May 14: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued here today.
Iqra Tabassum Secretary BJP Mandal Doda reached to every door step of Akram Abad area and distributed food and other essential utilities among the needy people.
Gandhi Global Family J&K organised relief camp at Gole Gujral of Block Marh in Jammu rural. The 30 local needy families were identified by Sarpanch Prithvi Pal Singh of Panchayat Gole Gujral. These families were mostly local transporters. The food package including dry ration and fresh vegetables were distributed in presence of GGF President J&K Padmashri Dr S P Varma. Er K K Mattoo GGF Advisor and Former Chief Engineer PWD J&K Government, Incharge Police Post Pouni Chak SI Varuneshwar Singh, Sarpanch Prithvi Pal Singh, Dr Prem Sharma GGF Advisor Jammu, G N Jain, Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu City, Raman Sharma GGF Coordinator Jammu City, Rashid Choudhary, Ragav Changotra, Shahnaz, Robin Gill and Ankush Varma distributed the relief material.
Sunita Cherwoo, Art of Living Teacher with her volunteers distributed ration kits among Safai Karamcharis, domestic workers and other needy persons.
BJP leader and Working Committee Member J&K (UT) Arun Sharma along with District Vice President Naresh Amba, District Spokesman Kuldeep Sharma, SC Morcha Secretary Shivlal Manyal, Captaiin Attar Chand, Om Prakash, Pawan and others distributed masks and sanitizers among police personnel and also served food to them. BJP leaders also distributed the masks and sanitizers to needy people.
A social activists group from the TRT Migrant Camp Nagrota distributed ration and medical assistance among needy people. The group under the leadership of Ashok Kumar Koul along with Chand Ji Kher, Chand Ji Bhat, Vijay Kumar Sopori, Vijay Kumar Pandita and other camp inmates were present on the occasion.
Beopar Mandal Udhampur distributed dry ration in Gopal Ghat Omara Morh Ward Number 13. President Jitender Vermani and other office bearers of Beopar Mandal Udhampur were present on the occasion.
