982 persons of MP dispatched in 33 buses by DC Samba

SAMBA, May 19: District Administration Samba in wake of prevailing situation arisen due to Covid-19 pandemic, the stranded interstate migrants in the Bari-Brahmana area of district Samba were today sent to their home State.
According to the report,982 persons all from State Madhya Pardesh were sent in a fleet of 33 buses from the dispatching point at Bari Brahmana Samba. Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria along with district officers were personally present at dispatching point early this morning and oversaw the complete process of dispatching. DC Samba said that person from other State stranded in district Samba including interstate migrants were registered few days back and today their proper dispatching was scheduled. He said 982 persons all hailing from Central State of India, Madhya Pardesh were dispatched in a fleet of 33 JKSRTC buses. “Breakfast, tea and snacks were provided to the stranded people while packaged food and water was provided with them for travel” added DC Samba.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba has informed that more such efforts shall be taken in coming days to ensure smooth and proper transit of inter State migrants. DC Samba also advised to all interstate migrants to not venture personally to their home district without prior permission of authorities.
