SRINAGAR, May 19: People of Magam area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam today appealed to authorities to revoke suspension orders of the Block Medical Officer, Dr. Mohammad Taha Khan who was suspended last week.
Describing him as the most host and dedicated medical officer, the youth of the Magam said that there have not been any lapses on part of the officer as has been noticed by the higher officials.
They said that he has been suspended for allegedly allowing COVID 19 positive case to go home which, as per them, is far from the truth. ” Dr Taha allowed a patient to go home at the time of internet ban in the district and the test reports were not available with him,” a youth said.
They further said that the suspected cases were allowed to go home only after receiving the orders for the same from higher authorities. “He received number of calls from higher authorities to allow suspected persons to go home and then finally he received a call from concerned higher official who asked him to release all suspected patients as they are Corona free,” they said.
They said the youth humbly request the Director of Health Services Kashmir to revoke the suspension order of BMO so that he can join his duties in SDH Magam and resume work.
