SRINAGAR, May 22: The mobile 2G internet services shut in Srinagar for last four days have been restored this evening.
The internet and voice calling services were suspended on May 19 when a gunfight erupted in Nawa Kadal area of Srinagar which led to the killing of two Hizb-ul-Muajhideen militants, one of them Junaid Sehrai, youngest son of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, the chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.
The voicing calling services were restored next day while 2G internet services were restored this evening. Lakhs of students missed the online classes being held by various schools during lockdown.
