JAMMU, May 25: Ravinder Raina, president of Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir filed a police complaint against a “fake” news circulated on the social media platform.
In a statement issued here, today he said Fake news alleged that Ravinder Raina, warns Afghan Taliban, but it is framed in a way that it clearly aims to disrupt communal peace and harmony.
Raina, outrightly rejected the news that has been publicized on the account on Social Media and said that the news has been published with total malicious intentions against him.
Raina, said that the news has deliberately tried to damage the interests of nation as well as the news has included a well thought communal angle which has been circulated to propagate communal hatred and enmity.
He also said that the publishers of the fake news are even not aware of his (Ravinder Raina’s) real position as they have designated him as national spokesperson and they have just used his name for misleading the gullible.
This clearly shows that the news has been circulated with a broader aspect to damage the image of BJP as well as the nation and stimulate the anti-national forces for various subversive acts against the unity in the nation and the society, Raina stressed.
Raina, requested the police authorities to get the matter investigated by Cyber Crime Investigative Agency of the police after registering a FIR and bring the culprits to book.
