Sain Samaj urges admin to allow opening of saloons, barber shops

JAMMU, May 25: All J&K Sain Samaj Sabha, Jammu today urged upon the divisional as well as district administration to allow opening of saloons and barber shops in Jammu.
Meeting over a video conference, the members of the Sabha discussed in detail the problems and hardships being faced by the saloon owners, barbers and beauticians due to prolonged lockdown forced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They said while all the markets are opened in Jammu from 9 AM to 5 PM daily, the barbers and beauticians have not been allowed to open their establishments, which is further aggravating the problems of the poor people engaged in this profession.
Assuring the authorities that they will strictly adhere to the laid down guidelines regarding Coronavirus formed by the Government, the members of Sain Samaj requested the administration to give the barbers and beauticians permission to open their shops.
“We have already submitted our requests to the offices of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and D C Jammu, besides MP Jugal Kishore, ex-MLA Rajesh Gupta and president, BJP OBC Morcha,” they added.
Those who attended the meeting were Rajinder Sikka (president of the Sabha), Kewal Krishan (general secretary), Ashok Sumbria (treasurer), Madan Lal (vice president), Sanjay Sajgotra (chairman), Krishan Dutt (chairman), Ganesh Maltoria (vice president), Sushil Panday (vice-president), Mukesh Aangotra (advisor) and Shakti Basotra.
