RAMBAN, May 27: Ramsoo police arrested two persons along with 96 grams heroin and 10 kilograms poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramsoo Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02BW-2887.
During checking, police team recovered around 96 grams of heroin and 10 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Ramesh Kumar, son of Kaka Ram of District Udhampur and Jeevan Singh, son of Gusha Ram of District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 45/2020 under section 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started.
The arrest was made by SHO Ramsoo DySP (Prob) Dr Sumit Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Ashish Gupta, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb-Ur-Rehman.
