KATHUA, Apr 9: Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Kathua conducted inspections at Kathua and Hiranagar and realized a fine of Rs.6000 from 13 traders for violation of various provisions of Weights and Measures Act & Rules.
A fine of Rs.34200 has been imposed on 71 traders during the month of March,2013 besides collection of Rs.188000 as stamping fee from users of weights and measures.
The department has warned the traders to desist from using unfair trade practices.
