Accounts Employees Association takes up issues with DG

JAMMU, May 30: J&K Accounts Employees Association, Jammu Province led by its President Kamal Singh Pathania met Director General (DG) Accounts and Treasuries and discussed their demands.
Vice President of the Union Adarsh Sharma, Sectt Union Sanjay Sadhu and Mohammad Akram were also present on the occasion.
While speaking, Pathania said that the accounts personnel who are posted and working for the last three years in the different departments in Ladakh region prior to formation of UT have approached President of the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Employees Association with their representation to take up the matter with the authorities on account of transfer into the original place of posting as they have completed their tenure of posing in the Ladakh region and authorities are requested to consider the tenure of posting in frontier region of Ladakh and other inaccessible areas of the state be fixed tenure of one year for betterment of the cadre and department as whole.
He added that the department has been further requested to take speedy steps to promote the members of the accounts service at different level against the vacant posts as well as newly created posts lying in different departments so that the gap between the posts lying vacant be fulfilled immediately.
Pathania said that the accounts personnel promoted at different level are performing the higher duties and responsibilities and their services are yet to be regularized which is a cause of concern/discontentment among this section of the humane resource, besides such Junior Scale Accounts Officer, who have completed their 5 years of service are due for grant of selection scale at par with their counterpart in other services.
Pathania requested the Authorities to take up the matter with J&K PSC for conducting of examinations of ACC, SAC Part-I and SAC Part-II.
Director General, Accounts and Treasuries Mahesh Dass gave patient hearing to the issues raised by the Association members and assured to consider them as earlier as possible.
