Man booked for escaping from quarantine center

RAJOURI, May 30: Police on Saturday arrested a person for escaping from an administrative quarantine center in Thanamandi area.
SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli said that a man identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani, a resident of Bhanghai Thanamandi was in administrative quarantine center at Boys Higher Secondary School Thanamandi from where he fled away during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
“Soon after the matter came to fore, special police team headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Fareed Ahmed under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sajjad Khan was framed which conducted raids at various places, SSP added.
Accused was later traced and arrested and has once again been put into the administrative quarantine as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), SSP Chandan Kohli said, adding that a case under FIR Number 102/2020 under Sections 188, 269 IPC and 3 EPD Act has been registered against him at in Thanamandi Police Station.
Rajouri Police appeals all the people to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meant for management and prevention of COVID19 that especially include disclosing travel history.
