Seminar organized on promotion of public-police relationship

JAMMU, Apr 9: Young Broadcasters Club- The Law School Chapter, University of Jammu organized a seminar on the topic ‘Developing an interactive role of Police towards Society’ at JU, here today
Dilbagh Singh, Addl DGP and MD, Police Housing Corporation, J&K, who was the chief guest on the occasion, emphasized the need for moral upliftment of the society to which the police is a small part. He further emphasized the need for well-equipped and empowered police force so that they could contribute their best to the society. He also interacted with the students present there.
Shailender Gulati, the prominent member of DISHA (Direction Indicative Society for Harmonious Advancement) of which YBC is an offshoot, was also present at the occasion as the special guest.
Sarveshwar Raj Dubey, Security Officer, JU and Gurmeet Singh, SHO Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Jammu were the special invitees and the key note speakers, who interacted with the students.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Aarti Bahl, Coordinator YBC-TLS Chapter and student of The Law School, JU, gave the details of the seminar and explained the motive behind organising the seminar.
Kritika Sethi, Deputy Coordinator, YBC-TLS Chapter presented the vote of thanks. The programme was compeered by Shagun Singh, Executive Member, YBC-TLS Chapter. Among those present on the occasion were the students of the Law School, University of Jammu, who also presented their research paper on the said topic.
