JKTMA for rationalization only after transfers of Teachers, Masters

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 31: State President of Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association (JKTMA) has made a strong appeal to Principal Secretary of School Education Department, Asgar Samoon to initiate the process of rationalization after the transfers of Teachers and Masters.
“General Line Teachers, who have completed more than four years in remote and hilly areas, are in a hope of their suitable transfer but due to rationalization process they will have to remain within same zone and may be deputed/transferred even more inaccessible areas which is grave injustice with them as they already have completed their tenure in hilly and inaccessible schools. ” he added while addressing in teleconference of the Association members.
Association executive members also opined that there are many flaws in rationalization process as most of the Chief Education Officers have not set clear cut norms of rationalization. “There are many upgraded Middle and High Schools with less teaching staff but such schools are ignored in rationalization process due to non availability of sanctioned vacant posts” State general secretary Vivek Gupta added.
He also urged the Lieutenant Governor to release TA in favour of all Teachers for month of May 2020 as they are engaged during this period for door to door distribution of home assignments. Association also passed a resolution seeking revocation of SRO 202, frame regularizaion policy for Preraks of Sakshar Bharat Mission, create 300 new regular posts of Master to adjust SSA Head Teacher.
Others who expressed their views, included Vikram Gupta, Ajay Sharma and Hoshiyar Singh.
