MLA demands probe into selection list

JAMMU, Apr 9: NPP MLA Harshdev Singh has sought a Vigilance probe into the selections list issued by Health Deptt. yesterday wherein selections have been made for the posts of Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation workers, Staff Nurses and FMPHWs.
He said that the selections have been made in violation of all canons of justice and fair play and in complete supersession of merit of deserving and meritorious candidates. He said that the points obtained by the candidates in degree exams as well as the practical experience have been completely ignored in contravention of the stipulated selection.
Mr. Singh alleged that the candidates who didn’t figure in the ‘shortlist’ have been surprisingly selected in district Udhampur. He claimed that certain other candidates who were tail-enders in the list of shortlisted candidates have been shown as selected while the toppers in the said list were rejected.
Alleging foul play, Mr. Singh sought a probe into the whole selections procedure.
