MENDHAR, June 3: The dilapidated condition of roads in Ari to Harni village of Mendhar Sub Division is giving a tough time to the commuters.
Locals complained that the road stretch from Upper Ari in the front of Shiv temple which is considered a priority road, is in shambles.
“The road is dotted with potholes, which speaks volumes about the tall claims of the Government of improving road connectivity,” the residents said.
They said that same was the condition of other roads in the area.
The residents of Ari and Harni village Mohammd Ismail, Nitin Kumar and Kazafi Khan said that the Public Works Department (PWD) has failed to undertake even minor repair work on this vital road.
They said that the concerned authorities have failed to macadamize this road, which is lying in dilapidated condition for the past several years.
Youth leader Nadeem Rafiq Khan said that the road was in pathetic condition and needed developmental work at an earliest.
He appealed DDC Poonch Rahul Yadav to come to their rescue by addressing their problem and providing them better road connectivity in the area.
