Distribution of ration, essential items continues

JAMMU, June 3: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued.
In response to the distress calls received on the Helpline numbers established by District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Jammu, for the local transporters who have lost their livelihood due to the nationwide lockdown, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Jammu supplied and distributed dry ration and other daily essentials to 45 families of auto drivers at Muthi Roop Nagar, Jammu. The distribution was carried out in association with the Municipal Corporator Ward Number 11 Akhnoor, Advocate Deepesh Singh Pawar and Sewa Smiti, Akhnoor, Jammu. Para Legal Volunteers and official of DLSA Jammu along with functionaries of Sewa Samiti Akhnoor also toured the slum area situated at Upper Roop Nagar, Jammu near Aap Shambu Mandir distributed fruits and masks to more than 60 children of the labourers.
JKPYC General Secretary Nimrandeep, JKPYC Secretary Barinder Singh and JKPYC Secretary Devyansh Jamwal distributed ration to needy people in Jammu.
A programme was organized by Seva Bharat under the leadership of Rita David to distribute ration among needy people at Old Rehari Mohalla Jammu. Markes Gill President All J&K Christian Forum and General Secretary All J&K Christian Biradary, Pr Polas Gill Coordinator Seva Bharat, Camres Dravid Babbloo President All India Masih Seva Dal, Monika Gill, Shashi Sotra and many others were present on the occasion.
