KARGIL, Apr 10: Executive Councilor Tourism and Zanskar Affair, LAHDC Kargil, Punchok Tashi today called on the Minister for Higher Education Mohd Akbar Lone and discussed with him various issues and demands.
Mr Punchok demanded job oriented and market friendly courses in the newly established Degree College Zanskar. He also demanded release of sanctioned amount of Rs 8 crore for construction of the college and posting of staff.
The Minister gave patient hearing and said that all demands would be given positive consideration.
Later, Mr Punchok also called on Feroz Ahmad Khan, MoS Education and demanded opening of Sub office of the Board of School Education at Zanskar.
