LEH, June 7: Member of Parliament (MP) from Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal conducted three days extensive tour in border areas of Eastern Ladakh and assured safety, security and overall development of the residents along with Pangong Lake near Line of Actual Control (LAC) where the tense situation prevailed since the standoff began.
During his tour, BJP MP from Ladakh visits Thakung and Chartse Posts and examined actual position of present situations at Finger 4 and other posts. BJP MP Jamyang also visits the last villages of the area including Phobrang-Yurgo-Lukung, Spangmik, Maan-Merak, Khagtad, Chushul and Shayok at Galwan Valley side and interacted with the civilians and listened to the public grievances especially about the ongoing situation.
MP stated “We especially the border resident of this (Ladakh) area live with peace and harmony which is very essential for the overall development of this region as well as our nation. We don’t want any confrontation with our neighbouring countries and we strongly believe in peace, progress and prosperity”.
“As this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China, the two countries agreed for an early resolution of the border tense which will defiantly contribute to betterment of the relationship and we are actively expecting for a very positive atmosphere based on the dialogue at military and diplomatic levels”, MP Jamyang further added.
On his tour, he visited villages in Durbuk Sub Division including Mukleb, Barma, Khera-Pulu, Satto, Chibra, Yerath, Chilam, Phalonglay, Sharchukul, Tharuk, Tangtse, Durbuk and the most remote and backward village Riley-Iching and interacted with the representatives of the areas.
Jamyang listed the public demands including tele-connectivity, quality education, health services and overall development of the region. After listening to all the public grievances, he assured to address the issues of the nomadic people who are living on the front line and have been guarding the border even in very harsh climatic conditions.
Accompanying MP on the tour were Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Councillor of Tangtse in LAHDC Leh and other village representatives of the border areas.
