Khalid Hussain calls on Governor

JAMMU, Apr 10: Khalid Hussain, a known short story writer of Jammu, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
The Governor discussed with Khalid Hussain the literary scenario of the State and emphasized the need for all required measures being taken for promoting the various languages and literature in the State. He observed that Jammu and Kashmir has remained a seat of knowledge and learning for the centuries past and all the stakeholders should pool their efforts to restore this past glory of the State.
Khalid Hussain, who writes in Punjabi and Urdu, briefed the Governor about his literary achievements.
On this occasion, Khalid Hussain presented to the Governor a set of his publications in Punjabi and Urdu, which are on varied themes.
