JAMMU, June 9: A deputation of J&K Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union called on Chief Engineer, JPDCL, Gurmeet Singh in his office here today and discussed their pending issues.
The deputation led by provincial president of the Union, Gurnam Singh Slathia during meeting at Canal Road office of the Chief Engineer , projected their pending issues strongly. It was urged upon the Chief Engineer to conduct DPC of daily wagers/ casual labours/ need based workers of the JPDCL Jammu province. They also demanded regularization of workers under the provisions of SRO 381 and upload the data of all the left over such employees in the NIC/ official website of the JPDCL, so as to release all the pending dues of these poor employees who are the real back bone of the Department, now Corporation.
The Union further requested the Chief Engineer to provide all the essential security kits and equipment to these employees who are serving the public keeping their life at maximum risk and provide them basic training required for security in view of COVID-19 threat.
The Chief Engineer gave a patient hearing to the workers and assured immediate redressal of their grievances within no time.
