DODA, June 9: The residents including Sarpanchs from different areas of Block Changa held protest against the administration here today.
A large number of people including Sarpanchs hailing from different areas of Block Changa assembled near bus stand Gowari and held protest.
The protestors raised slogans against the administration particularly against SDM Gandoh and Tehsildar Gandoh for harassing the poor people on one pretext or other.
While speaking, Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman Mohammad Abass Rather said that SDM Gandoh and Tehsildar Gandoh are harassing the people on one protest or other.
“If poor people approach SDM Gandoh or Tehsildar Gandoh with any of their issues, the duo harass them”, Rather said, adding that they even harass the shopkeepers and commuters without their fault.
The behaviour of both the officers have created a fear among the people, he said and demanded action against the officers for not paying heeds towards the issues of the people, for which they have been appointed by the Government.
The protestors have appealed to the LG of Union Territory of J&K to take action against SDM Gandoh and Tehsildar Gandoh for harassing the poor people.
Later, the protestors dispersed from the spot after giving warning to intensify their protest if their issue is not resolved in the shortest possible time.
