Civilian hurt, houses damaged in Pak shelling

JAMMU, June 10: Pakistan troops today repeatedly violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
Defence spokesperson here said that at about 2045 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars in Balakote sector of Poonch.
He said that Indian Army retaliated befittingly.
Earlier, he said that in morning hours too, Pakistan targeted civilian areas in Nowshera sector damaging houses of civilians and injuring cattle.
Meanwhile, police sources said that many houses suffered damages due to border shelling.
A civilian was tonight injured in Pakistan shelling.
