Estates employees highlight demands

JAMMU, June 13: Estates Employees Welfare Association (EEWA), Jammu highlighted its demands in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its vice-president, Balinder Kumar.
The meeting which was attended by office bearers and members of the Association discussed in detail various issues and demands of the employees of the Estates Department.
The demands which came up for discussion in the meeting include reorganization of Estates Department, release of grade in favour of employees who have been getting charge allowance against the clear vacancies for 16 years regularization of daily rated workers, timely release of promotion orders, holding DPC of technical cadre of Jammu, provision of two and a half day additional pay and allotment of residential quarters to needy employees of the department who are from other districts.
The members observed that administration of Estates Department is not serious towards the demands of the employees as despite submission of charter of demands to the authorities by the Association, nothing was till date to fulfill their demands.
The Association once again appealed the concerned authorities/Government for early redressal of the grievances and demands of the employees.
President of the Association, Kewal Krishan, Mulkh Raj (general secretary), Satish Kumar (Chairman), Subhash Chander (Cashier) and other members were also present in the meeting.
