JAMMU, June 15: Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairman Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and senior BJP leader started the work of black topping on the main road adjoining the petrol pump in Ward No. 56 Gangyal of Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
Talking to the people on the occasion, Billawaia said that the development works that will be executed in our time will be sustainable and there will be no corruption on any scale, whereas in the past, everything done during the time of the NC-Congress led Government was dominated by corruption. So one lane did not last for more than six months because commission was dominated everywhere from bottom to top, but now our focus is on quality development and there will be no compromise with it.
He said that the example of corruption used to be seen in this street of Gangyal itself because at this place a drain was constructed during the previous Government which was not taken up to the level and instead of giving relief to the people, this drain became a trouble for them. But today it has been tailored to a level and after black topping on the road it will be dedicated to the people. He said that giving consistent development to the people is the top most priority of the BJP and work is being done in the same direction, whereas in the coming days people will get to see development work worth crores of rupees.
The Chairman said that the people of the city are requested to cooperate with the Corporation during COVID-19 and there should be no dumping of garbage and use of restricted polythene carry bags to make the city clean and hygienic. On this occasion, BJP State vice president, Kisan Morcha, Harbans Chaudhary, State general secretary S.C. Morcha, Rakesh Sangral, vice president, Satwari Mandal, Ranjit Singh, Surjeet Kumar, Mulkh Raj, Suresh Mishra, Yash Raj Verma, Ajit Singh Bhadwal, Hardeep Singh, Kavaljit Singh (Sheru) were also present.
