AP Assembly pays tributes to 20 Indian Soldiers

AMARAVATI, June 17: Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Wednesday paid glorious tributes to the 20 Indian Soldiers, who laid down their lives in line of duty in a violent face-off with the Chinese troops in the Galwan valley in Eastern Ladakh on Monday night.

Moving the resolution, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “This House pays glorious tributes, on behalf of the people of the state, to the 20 brave Indian Soldiers, who became martyrs after they fought with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley to safeguard the integrity and sovereignty of the country”.

He said Andhra Pradesh joins the nation in expressing deep sorrow to the family members of the martyrs.

The bravery of Colonel Santhosh Babu, who hails from Suryapet in the neighbouring State, will be remembered for a long time to come. We pray that the soul of all the martyrs rest in peace.

The house observed silence as a mark of respect to the brave hearts. (UNI)
