SRINAGAR, June 20: Incharge lecturers of Kashmir Division, in a meeting held today at Srinagar, discussed their demand of regularization.
Representatives from all ten districts including district coordinators participated in the meeting. The coordinators from Jammu and Ladakh attended meeting through virtual mode.
The meeting was convened to review the regularization process and to nominate district coordinators of those districts which were not previously represented in the coordination committee.
It was given in the meeting that In-charge lecturers placed in their own pay and grade from year 2013 onwards have been struggling for last two and a half years, fighting cases in different courts, representing before concerned authorities through deputations, and trying their best to apprise everyone whosoever was/is at the helm of affairs making requests for restoration of their due and deserving right of confirmation.
“Incredible coordination with unparallel support rendered by the in-charge lecturers, In-charge Principals, In-charge Headmasters, In-charge ZEO from every nook and corner of erstwhile state, bore fruit in the form of Cabinet decision of March 2018 and SAC decision of December 2018, which successfully culminated in the confirmation of In-charge lecturers of four subjects in October 2019 along with some incharge officers of other cadres,” the meeting observed.
The speakers said that since October 2019, the district coordinators and dedicated members under the leadership of Amarnath Thakur are vigorously pursuing the struggle for the confirmation of left out lecturers of more than 30 subjects but unfortunately the prevailing COVID-19 situation which affected the whole world, has also snarled their regularization process.
All the participants of the meeting hoped that Principal Secretary Education Department Dr A H Samoon will not cause them to wait long and soon service of each and every deserving will be regularized.
