JAMMU, June 20: COVID-19 restrictions have led to unprecedented hardships for several vulnerable groups including pregnant migrant women and new mothers.
A handout stated that ‘THE – SARA’ a registered non-profit organization under ‘COVID-19 Relief Mission 2020’ has been providing much needed aid to such women.
It further stated that ‘THE – SARA’ since imposition of COVID-19 restrictions has been receiving numerous requests of help from pregnant migrant women and new mothers and being committed towards the cause, the organization has delivered much needed assistance in the form of ration kits and hygiene kits to more than nine pregnant migrant ladies across the Jammu district.
The relief kit contains wheat flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil, salt, sugar, chilli powder, turmeric powder, soya chunks, soaps, sanitary pads and face masks are being provided to the beneficiaries.
The handout further claimed that ‘THE – SARA’ under ‘COVID-19 Relief Mission 2020’ has supported more than 500 families across Jammu district since the imposition of COVID-19 restrictions across the country.
