Tributes paid to Galwan Martyrs

JAMMU, June 20: Rich tributes to 20 Galwan Martyrs were paid today by various political as well as social organizations across J&K while anti-China protests were also held at several places.
While paying tribute to martyrs of Galwan Valley in a simple function organized near Kanak Mandi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K executive member, Raman Suri said that everyone in India stand together against China at this hour and is condemning Chinese actions. Suri said that 20 Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives while defending the borders and there is no scope for any communal statements over their sacrifice as are being made by some leaders.
BJP workers burnt effigy of China’s president Xi-Jinping at Jawar Nagar Chowk, Srinagar. The protest was led by DIST president Srinagar Ashok Bhat. Hundreds of party workers expressed their anger. Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said that let the China know that India is no longer the country which it used to be in 1965. He said that our army is capable enough to give befitting reply to any one, trying to challange the sovereignty of India. He appealed the citizens to boycott China made products.
Congress party leaders including Advocate Suresh Kumar Dogra (Chairman, OBC Department, Pradesh Congress Committee), Gourav Chopra (Corporator Ward number 28), Sunil Kumar (senior vice president, DCC urban) and others paid floral tributes to the 20 brave soldiers martyred recently in Galwan Valley at Balidan Sthamb in Jammu. They said that our country is united to retrieve every inch of its territory of the country from China.
Aam Aadmi Party J&K held a protest against China over the clashes at LAC in eastern Galwan Valley where 20 Jawans martyred in clashes with PLA troops. The protest was led by AAP leader Mehar Singh Sudan. AAP volunteers shouted anti-China slogans and burnt Chinese flags as well as effigy of Chinese President. Party leader Raj Kumar Nischal urged the Indian Government to give a befitting reply to China attacks.
Bhartiya Modi Army (BMA) J&K UT under the president ship of Bal Sant Sahil Ji Maharaj strongly condemned Chinese PLA’s attack on Indian soldiers and killing 20 of them. Maharaj Ji said entire members of BMA J&K UT are hurt and angry by the steps taken by China at the LAC (Leh). Maharaj Ji along with other members of the BMA fired the effigy of President of China Xi Jinping and appealed all the Indians to boycott Chinese products.
All executive members of Shree Vishwakarma Library & Research Centre (SVLARC), New Plot Jammu expressed grief and sorrow over the recent loss of soldiers in Ladakh due to Chinese misadventure on LAC and expressed solidarity with aggrieved families. Chairman of the Library, Principal Ram Lal said that India should introspect, as to how it happened and how such incidents can be avoided in future?
Bhartiya Siksha Samiti J&K held a Shradhanjli Sabha in Samiti Head Office at Amphalla to pay floral tributes to martyred soldiers. Speaking on the occasion, Prant Sanghthan Mantri Pradeep Kumar and others showered flowers on the photographs of all martyrs and prayed for their eternal peace. They requested the society to boycott products of Chinese origin.
