JAMMU, June 21: A man allegedly made an abortive bid on his life by hanging himself at his residence in Gorkha Nagar area of Jammu.
According to a police official, Dheeraj (36) son of Om Bahadur, resident of Gorkha Nagar (Bagh-e-Bahu), tried to end his life this morning by hanging himself from the door of his house with the help of a scarf (dupatta).
However, the family members noticed timely and immediately shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical.
Bagh-e-Bahu police had taken cognizance of the matter.
