DUDU/BASANTGARH, June 21: Action Committee Dudu-Basantgarh has rejected the Police version as voice-up of the alleged murder of Shiv Raj, who is missing since June 2.
During an emergently convened meeting here today, , Ranbir Singh Pathania, former MLA Ramnagar and Chairman of the Action Committee, said that the story put forth by Police was nothing short of an ‘old wives fable’ with unbelievable, uninspiring facts and figures and with further motive of ‘cover-up’ and ‘dilly-dally’. He warned the Civil/Police officers to stop playing with sentiments of the people but answers to lead questions hovering in minds of the people.
Pathania sought to know why did the civil/Police officers turned blind eyes and deaf ears to the exploitation and extortion of local people by the professional outlaws at Seoj Dhar for so many years, why Corona guidelines and law of the land were thrown to wind while allowing these rebellious tribals to come over to District Udhampur from Punjab and Kathua without any Corona check/quarantine and have a free run over green pastures belonging to Wildlife Deptt and what immediate and prompt action was contemplated against guilty officers of Civil/Police administration who have allowed this nexus to breed and bloom under their very nose
The Action Committee announced to hold protests outside SDM office, Chenani on 22nd June, outside SDM office Basantgarh on 23rd June, outside DC office Udhampur on 24th June and ultimately outside Raj Bhawan, Jammu.
The Action Committee further announced to initiate a no-holds-barred movement in support of its demands, which include tracing out the dead body of Shiv Raj at the earliest, announcement of Rs 20 lakh as compensation and Government job for NoKs of late Shiv Raj, immediate registration of an FIR/case for murder against the guilty members of the rebellious tribe and permanently debarring the said rebellious tribes from entering Seoj Dhar henceforth and distributing the pastures between the local shepherds so as to avoid friction.
