JAMMU, June 21: A man died in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today after consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Batote area of Kathua district.
“Gopal Krishan (44) son of Sant Ram, resident of Thopal (Batote), was admitted at GMCH Jammu on June 18 after he allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his home,” a police official said.
He said that the man passed away today at about 1:25 AM in the hospital. Batote police had already taken cognizance of the matter.
