JAMMU, June 22: Nami Dogri Sanstha oganised a multi-lingual e-Mushaira, in which 28 poets representing Dogri, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi languages participated .
The participating poets presented their expressions on varied subjects like romance , environment , social evils , ongoing pandemic , patriotism and homage to our martyrs.
Dr Vijay Puri, renowned cartoonist and writer, presided over the e-Mushaira whereas Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary NDS, conducted the proceedings . Capt Lalit Sharma, Convener NDS coordinated the event and offered his comments on each and every poetic item presented .
The participating poets included Mohan Singh Slathia, “Wali Mohammad Aseer Kishtwari”, Dr Vijay Puri, Susheel Bhola, Dr Ramesh Nirash, Usha Kiran Kiran, Amar Jeet Kaur “Neer”, Kusum Sharma “Antra”, Pallavi Rajput , Dr Anita Langoo, Neelam Mahotra Verma, Kalpana Gupta, Shallu Uppal Nargotra “Rattan”, Dr Mulakh Raj Bhumagi, Nidhi Kaila Chaudhary, Shivender Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Arun Sharma Banathia, Jatinder Jolly, Ram Pal Dogra, Prof Satya Pal Gupta, Prof Adarsh Malhotra, KD Kaul Mehboob, Kuldeep Dogra, Shambu Ram Pyasa, Yash Pal Yash, Advocate Harish Kaila and Capt Lalit Sharma.
Capt lalit Sharma said that the use of digital platform by NDS has proved successful for literary meets and the Sanstha shall be using it whole heartedly.
The meet concluded with presidential statement by Dr Vijay Puri who stated that in the prevailing arena of gloom , helplessness and negativity, coming together of the poets and writers in large number is a big event in itself. He further remarked that the positive tone of creativity and optimism of poetry presented serves as a vaccine for the depressed and gloomy environment and creates hope and enthusiasm all around . Yash Pal Yash presented vote of thanks.
