SAMBA, June 22 : Former Minister and Ex-MLA, Chander Parkash Ganga along with Sarpanch, Champa Devi today kick started work on a link road from Deshmesh Nagar to Khanpur Camp under SC/ST Plan to be executed with an estimated cost of Rs. seven lakh.
While speaking on the occasion, Ganga said that it was a long pending demand of locals that is going to be fulfilled. It is a matter of great satisfaction and proud that almost all the roads in the Vijaypur constituency have been constructed, renovated and blacktopped besides several newly sanctioned roads are at different stages of implementation. He further informed people that new project namely Improvement/Upgradation of link road from Village Pakhari to Koulpur via Kajyal Bajawati and Rattanpur approved under NABARD with an estimated cost of Rs three crore, the work of the said road will be started soon. He extended complete credit to the locals for their cooperation and appreciation towards effective implementation of Government schemes.
He expressed hope that the public will continue their support with the same spirit and zeal to realize the objective of launching of numerous Government schemes meant for socio-economic empowerment of under privileged segments of the society.
