SAMBA, June 22: The dead body of an old man who was reportedly missing from home has been recovered from the forest area of village Peyour block, Sumb in district Samba today.
According to the sources, yesterday the Lamberdar of village Peyour lodged the missing report in Police Post Goran and stated that one person namely Dalbir Singh, son of Jaimal Singh resident of village Peyour had gone to forest area of Peyour for bringing the grass for animals on June 21 but he did not return home.
In this regard Police lodged the missing report vide DD No Dated 22.6.20 and started the search of the missing person. After long search at around 1 pm his dead body was found from the forest area of Peyour village. Police took the body into their custody and brought to District Hospital Samba for autopsy.
After completing the legal formalities the body of the deceased man was handed over to its legal heirs for his last rites.
In this regard police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
