AKHNOOR, Apr 12: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma today said that youth are the real strength of the country and the Congress will emerge as victorious in the coming elections.
Addressing one day convention of Pradesh Youth Congress here today, the PHE Minister said that the youth are the real strength of the country and the nursery of Congress Party. This force is going to take command of the country. He said the Congress leadership has conferred huge responsibility on the shoulders of youth leader Rahul Gandhi, which has mobilized the youth power in the entire country.
“ This will definitely change the political scenario in the country in the coming Lok Sabha elections and Congress will emerge victorious with huge margin at the Centre and also in the State,” Mr Sharma added.
The Congress leader asked the youth force of the party to strengthen Congress at the grass-root level and said that important Youth leaders will be assigned special role in the coming elections and they will get their due share as well. He asked them to popularize the programmes and policies of the party among the people. Mr Sharma said that Congress is the only party which can do justice with the people of all the regions and sections of society.
A large number of youth of the area joined PYC on this occasion. The Block Committee Akhnoor also nominated Rahul Langar as city president there.
