Lal Singh holds public grievances camp

UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: In order to listen the problems and grievances of the people, Member Parliament Udha-mpur-Doda Constituency, Choudhary Lal Singh convened a public grievances camp at village Tagan in tehsil Ramnagar.
The representatives put forth various demands like, better road connectivity, upgradation of Government schools & opening of PHC at Tagan and Satya, shortage of staff in educational institutions, installation of solar lights, electrification of the left out mohras of the villages, adequate drinking water and separate power supply feeder in the area.
While addressing the people, Choudhary Lal Singh said that central Government is committed to the progress and development of the rural areas for which several programme and schemes like MGNREGA, NRHM, IAY, RMSA etc have been launched. He appealed the people to come forward to avail maximum benefits of these schemes. He asked the Sarpanches and Panches to identify the problems of the people of their areas and work for their redressal.
He asked the officers of Agriculture Department to provide poly houses and hybrid seeds to the farmer in time so that they would enhance their crop productivity by adopting latest techniques of farming. He directed the officers of Rural Development Department to construct toilet facilities under the centrally sponsored scheme Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan and encourage the people for their use.
Later, the people of village Chanunta of tehsil Ramnagar apprised the Member Parliament about demands and problems being faced by them.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Surat Singh, PO, DRDA, Executive Engineer PMGSY, Chief Animal Husbandry, Chief Education Officer, Sarpanches, Panches and people in large number were present on the occasion.
