Illegal entries of 80 kanal forest land cancelled

RAJOURI, June 25: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal has cancelled illegal entries of nearly 80 kanals of forest land bearing Khasra number 1251 in Rajal village of Nowshera tehsil in Nowshera Sub-Division.
The action was taken by the ADC Nowshera on the recommendation of Divisional Forest Officer, Nowshera, Suresh Manda after joint verification of the land by the Forest and Revenue Department. He pointed out that some revenue officials have made illegal entries in the revenue record of the land belonging to Forest Department for providing benefit to the land grabbers/locals of the area for their vested interests.
It was pointed out by the DFO in his report that 10 illegal entries of nearly kanals were surfaced at village Rajal in Nowshera tehsil. He said all these entries were cancelled by the ADC Nowshera and on the directions of ADC Nowshera, the concerned Tehsildar corrected the record by making entries in favour of Forest Department.
