SIT re-constituted in alleged murder case

JAMMU, June 27: IGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh has re-constituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) in case of alleged murder of Shiv Raj of Seoj Dhar, under the jurisdiction of Basantgarh Police Station, Udhampur District, who is missing for the last several days.
According to an order in this regard, SIT has been constituted to ensure impartial and expeditious investigation in case FIR number 06/2020, under section 364/382/341/323/147-IPC, at Police Station Basantgarh, District Udhampur.
Headed by Himat Singh, DySP DAR, DPL Udhampur, the SIT comprises Inspr Pardeep Gupta (DPL Udhampur), Inspr Pawan Dogra ( SHO Latti), SI Jasvinder Chowdhary (I/c PP Tikri) and SI Vijay Sharma (I/c PP Roun Domail).
The SIT shall conduct scrupululous investigation of the case on merits and take the same to its logical end in the interest of justice and fair play. The Incharge SIT shall also ensure that the legal opinion on procedural aspects should be kept in view during investigation and necessary assistance in this regard be obtained from officers of Prosecution Wing presently posted in District Udhampur. The SIT shall furnish the progress report of investigation to Police Headquarters on fortnight basis.
