JAMMU, June 28: Three people were killed and four others injured today in a tragic road accident in RS Pura area of city outskirts.

According to police sources, the accident occurred around 7:30 am today at Gondla village. They said that a speeding Brezza car (bearing registration number JK02CK-1337) was carrying some local labourers for plantation of paddy saplings in fields, from RS Pura to village Blah.
“The car was being driven by one Parveen Singh son of Harbans Singh, resident of Blah (Tehsil Suchetgarh) in a rash and negligent manner and when the vehicle reached at Gonda village, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled over several times after skidding off the road and rammed into some trees,” they said quoting eyewitnesses.
Sources said while two labourers identified as Gurdas Chand (48) son of Chaman Lal and Raj Kumar (45) son of Ashok Kumar, both residents of Dravtey, died on the spot, another injured labourer namely Kuldeep Kumar (45) son of Des Raj, resident of Gagian (RS Pura) succumbed to his injuries in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
Three other people injured in the accident were identified as Surinder Lal son of Sardari Lal, resident of Purana Pind, Tarsem Lal son of Bansi Lal, resident of RS Pura and driver, Parveen Singh son of Harbans Singh, resident of Blah while the fourth injured was yet to be identified.
“While the injured car driver is under treatment at ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra, other injured persons is being treated at GMCH Jammu,” sources said, adding the condition of the three injured persons were stable while as the fourth injured whose identity is yet to be ascertained, is in critical condition.
In this connection, a case FIR Number 124/2020 U/S 279/337/304-A IPC has been registered at police station R S Pura and further investigation started.
